Volunteers
Start in Salford could not be the success it is without the help of its volunteers. Volunteers at Start aid tutors within art sessions, as well as helping out on our reception and supporting the caretaker with his duties. Volunteers also assist within Start Creative Studios to generate income for the organisation following their progression through the project.

Last Year we lost our very dear friend and colleague,
Edith Knowles (5th October, 1953 – 14th September, 2009). Brunswick House reverberates with her words of wisdom, advice and guidance, comfort and most of all her humour and laughter. She is around every corner and leaves a legacy that will never fade.
