One in four of us will experience a mental health problem at some point in our lives. Become a friend of Start in Salford - change your life and help change the lives of others.
Will you help?
The simple fact is that people struggling with mental health problems make massive steps forward by harnessing their creativity. It’s an effective and positive way to help people back to health, happiness and employment.
In the heart of Salford, we have a unique service to give people access to studios, gallery, community garden space and professional artists. Start in Salford is a community charity helping local people of all ages find the support they need, as well as enjoying something new. We’re asking you to become a Friend of Start in Salford. Whether you can spare us a few hours or a few pounds, your support is priceless to us.

We will send you our Welcome Pack and let you know about exhibitions, events and offers. We don’t pester, we never pass on details and we do offer discounts to Friends on purchases. The Welcome Pack and postage costs us £5, so we’re grateful if requests come with a donation to cover that.
As a Friend of Start in Salford we will get in touch you after one year to ask for your continued support on an annual basis.
