Grumpy & Start DO ART!
In July 2011 Grumpy, the Play Resource centre and Start in Salford were delighted to receive funding from the Salford City Council's Short Break Care For Disabled Children Fund, to provide weekly fun and free, arts and craft sessions for children with additional needs and disabilities in Salford, aged 5 – 18 years and their siblings until March 2012.
At Grumpy and Start DO ART! sessions children are able to experience a broad range of different arts and craft activities each week, working towards a themed exhibition event that will take place at Start In Salford's 'Peoples Gallery'.

Mocha Parade Outreach Art Sessions
As part of the Time Out, Arts on Prescription programme there has been an outreach visual art session taking place at Mocha Parade since February 2011.
This is in addition to the sessions that take place at Start's Studios and was started due to individuals not always being able to access the main programme due to transport issues.
The sessions have been taking place weekly and led by artist Mark Jones.
The sessions are well attended, with people producing some lovely artwork.
