Start in Salford's choir 'Start Singing' are on the lookout for new recruits! Anyone is welcome, no matter what your age or ability it is very much a case of the more the merrier!
The range in song material means that there’s something for everyone, from African inspired tunes, to well known classics.
The choir practice runs every Tuesday 5.30pm-7pm in our gallery at Brunswick House. The cost is £3 per session.
So why not come along and give it a go? It is a great way to meet new people from your community and sing some wonderful tunes in a large and friendly group.

Cymru Craft Fair

Start Creative's yurts are on the move

The Start Creative Yurt has been hired at a number of venues this summer.

First off it is heading to Pilton (the world famous landmark for Glastonbury festival) for a wedding. The next visit is to Pendleton for 'National Play Day' on 4th August where it will hold workshops for juggling ball making workshops.

We will try to bring you images and further news of the Yurt so watch this space.

Start stall at Manchester Markets

Start Creative are off to the markets again this summer. They will have a stall in Albert Square selling lots of high quality items made by the team. There are also new additions to this summer range so come on down and take a look!

Constance's exhibition opening

The 'Dreamfest' exhibition by Constance Fearn has opened at The Salford Art Gallery. The opening night was a great success and the pictures can be viewed in our gallery (under visual arts).

The work will be on display until the 26th September, so make sure you don't miss out on these fabulous art pieces.

There is even more good news for Constance. She has been recognised for her volunteering achievements and has won the award for Personal Development from the Heart of Salford Volunteer Awards. Well done Constance, we are all very proud of you!
