This year the Gardening group entered The Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom competition. On Wednesday several of the members went to the award presentations in Southport. PTLLS SUCCESS

Start would like to congratulate Volunteer Artist in Resident Jackie Thomas on successfully achieving a LEVEL 3 PTLLS qualification (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) which enables people to gain the necessary skills to teach adult learners in further education.

Along with many written assignments and a personal portfolio, Jackie had to deliver a workshop to her class and assessors as part of her qualification. As you can imagine this takes dedication, subject knowledge and a high level of confidence.
