Tree Planting Celebration hosted by Start in Salford

Start in Salford hosted a special garden party this week to celebrate the planting of 37 new street trees along Broad Street.

Planted by the The Red Rose Forest www.redroseforest.co.uk the trees will help to create a protective ‘green screen’ between the busy A6 road and local houses including our very own building Brunswick House. They will also help to shield the area from noise and air pollution and will improve the appearance of the area as they will be seen by hundreds of commuters every day.

Green Streets Project comes to Start

We have an exciting event coming up which is to take place in Start in Salford's garden.

The Green Streets Project is a joint Red Rose Forest http://www.redroseforest.co.uk and Community Forests North West project and aims to provide green products in an urban surrounding, from planting street trees to creating communal green alleyways.

They have been working with Salford City council and have planted trees across the city. Some of those trees planted are on our very own Broad Street.
