Celebrating World Mental Health Day 2008

World Mental Health Day inside the yurt

World Mental Health Day is a specific day each year which focuses on mental health, and celebrates the positive work that is being carried out in the mental health field.

In response to World Mental Health Day, Salford hosted a number of events which took place throughout the week, culminating with an event on Friday the 10th October 2008 at Princes Park, Salford.

Start in Salford were invited to attend this event to showcase some of the fantastic work produced by the members of our project. We set up our stall inside one of our Mongolian Yurts (as seen in the photograph) which proved to be very popular amongst the visitors, and we used this opportunity to provide a sneak preview of our new Horticulture book, 'Landmark in the Landscape.'
