Start would like to congratulate Volunteer Artist in Resident Jackie Thomas on successfully achieving a LEVEL 3 PTLLS qualification (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) which enables people to gain the necessary skills to teach adult learners in further education.

Along with many written assignments and a personal portfolio, Jackie had to deliver a workshop to her class and assessors as part of her qualification. As you can imagine this takes dedication, subject knowledge and a high level of confidence.

Jackie was very please with her achievement. “I really enjoyed the course and would recommend it to anyone wanting to teach in further education”.

Jackie is now delivering a visual arts session with fellow Volunteer Artist in Residence Paul Jordan. Well Done!
