Creativity in Care
Creativity in Care is an opportunity for residents in care homes, extra care facilities and sheltered housing in Salford to take part in creative activities that also have great therapeutic value. The activities are a way of building confidence and self esteem, so your residents feel more connected to their community and less isolated.
Creativity in Care will inspire residents to take on creative challenges, learn valuable new skills and improve their sense of self-worth – all in the friendly and supportive environment of your care facility with lots of positive energy.
By participating in a range of tutor-led activities, from drawing and painting, to gardening and Tai Chi, your residents will discover hidden talents, new interests and create work they can take pride in.
The free two-hour weekly workshops will be delivered for a year and will take place on site at the facility. All that is needed is the space and residents; we supply the rest, including all the materials and the professional artist facilitators all for free.

Vitality for the Third Age
Start Over Fifty is an opportunity for older members to take part in creative activities and meet new friends. It’s a way of building confidence, so you’ll feel more connected to your local community and less isolated.
Our programme will inspire you to take on some creative challenges, learn valuable new skills and improve your sense of self-worth – all in a friendly and supportive environment with lots of positive energy.
By participating in a range of tutor-led activities, from drawing and painting, to creative writing and Tai Chi, you’ll discover hidden talents, new interests and create work you can take pride in.
The two-hour weekly workshops are available in various locations across Salford, so you won’t have to travel very far to attend. There is a small fee to cover the cost of any materials but, otherwise, it’s completely free.
Once you’ve increased your skills, you can join one of our member-led groups and take responsibility for running it, while developing your creative talents even further.
If you want to tap into your creative side and build new friendships along the way, why not get in touch and have a go?
What people say about Start Over Fifty...
“The sessions help me get out of bed on a Wednesday morning. I suffer from anxiety, depression and chronic fatigue syndrome, and these sessions are the highlight of my week. As well as being a general art session with drawing, painting and the use of different materials, they are an inspiration showing us the history of art and an insight into the psyche and cultural mores of the artists we are studying.”
