“Providing support to the community needs support from the community. Partnerships are a vital ingredient to our success”

Partners and Funding

Start in Salford is generously supported by local and national organisations, having become a registered charity and company limited by guarantee in 1999. Over the years, we have built strong working relationships with local partners, and this has been instrumental in our development.

Start is funded through Service Contracts and generated income alongside a variety of grants. We are also contracted by the Clinical Commissioning Group to deliver services as part of their mental health provision across Salford.

As a registered charity, we rely on a range of funding sources to further develop our programmes and make them more widely available.

In addition to securing grants and tender opportunities, we generate income through our trading arm Start Creative and via donations and fundraising. We also welcome support from local businesses and individuals. For more information see our Support Us page.
